Allocation of 2021 invitation tickets for the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals
SRA Karting has ten invitation tickets to participate at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals to be held in Bahrain next December. The tickets will be awarded at the 2021 ASN Canada Karting Championship and the 2021 Canadian Open as follow:
1. 2021 ASN Canada Karting Championship
Date: August 19-22, 2021
Location: Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Bowmanville, Ontario
Tickets available (1 per class): Mini-MAX, MAX Junior*, MAX Senior and DD2.
Method of attribution: the ticket will be awarded to the eligible driver with the best result in the finale race in the above classes.
*Special provision for the MAX Junior class. If the driver with the best result was born in 2006 and is not, as of August 19th 2021, holder of a valid International C-Junior Karting Licence according to Article 3.4.2 of the CIK International Karting Licences for Drivers, he will receive a replacement invitation ticket to race at the Grand Finals in the E20 Senior class (electric karts) and the ticket In the MAX Junior class will be eliminated.
2. Canadian Open 2021
Date: September 11-12
Location: Académie de Karting Jim Russell, Mont-Tremblant, Québec
Tickets available (1 per class): Micro-MAX, Mini-MAX, MAX Junior*, MAX Senior, DD2 and DD2 Masters.
Method of attribution: the invitation ticket will be awarded to the eligible driver scoring the most points in the combined events of the ASN Canada Karting Championship and the Canadian Open.
Classification system: the classification system will be the system included in section 22 of the 2021 Canadian Rotax MAX Challenge Sporting Regulation (available on https://maxchallenge.ca). All points will count (no “joker”).
*Special provision for the MAX Junior class. If the driver with the most points in the classification was born in 2006 and is not, as of August 19th 2021, holder of a valid International C-Junior Karting Licence issued according to Article 3.4.2 of the CIK International Karting Licences for Drivers, he will receive a replacement invitation ticket to race at the Grand Finals in the E20 Senior class (electric karts) and the ticket in the MAX Junior class will be eliminated. If the replacement of the MAX Junior ticket for the E20 Senior was awarded at the first event, the driver born in 2006 will not receive any invitation ticket and the MAX Junior ticket will be awarded to the eligible driver with the most points in the classification.
In the event that a driver earns more than one invitation to the Grand Finals, the qualifying rules set out in the Canadian Rotax MAX Challenge Sporting Regulation will apply.
