The Canadian Open as a three-day event is back after a two-year break due to the pandemic. The event will take place from July 15 to 17 at the Jim Russell Karting Academy in Mont-Tremblant.
The event will offer four invitations to compete at the 2022 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in the Mini-MAX, MAX Junior, MAX Senior and DD2 categories. Six additional invitations will be awarded at the Canadian Karting Championships based on a mini championship combining the results of the Canadian Open and the Canadian Championships.
The event will also welcome the Briggs & Stratton Cadet, Junior, Senior and Masters categories as well as the Shifters categories. All categories will have a Super Pole and qualifying heats.
Registration will open on Thursday, June 23rd. In the meantime, if not already done, we recommend that you book your accommodations now as the Mont-Tremblant area is very busy during the summer. Find suggestions on the Académie de Karting Jim Russell’s website.
