The Rotax engines, from the manufacturer BRP-Powertrain, enjoy an excellent worldwide reputation in karting’s highest level of competition as well as for the amateur looking for wild sensations. Their kart engines are part of the more popular ones. Rotax engines are produced in Austria following a rigorous process that assures an excellent quality to every product. More particularly, during recent years, Rotax has revolutionized karting by conceiving a high performance 2-stroke engine that also combines reliability. The FR125 Max is, at this time, the top selling karting engine world-wide and its success keeps on growing.
In 2000 the ROTAX Kart Centre set in place a worldwide series of kart races called “ROTAX MAX Challenge”. For 2012, the RMC will be presented as a national competition in over 60 countries. Rotax 125 Max DD2
The Max DD2 has the main characteristics of the FR125 Max plus a 2 speed gearbox, which give a maximum of power in slow corners or on the strait line, in fact, everywhere on the track. This engine has a direct drive system, the rear axle passes through the engine, eliminating the chain and problems linked to this traditional system. The engine is powerful and develops 32 h.p.

Rotax 125 Mini Max
Age class : 10 – 13 y.o.
The Mini Max is simply an FR125 Max Junior with a restrictor kit added. This package lowers the power of the engine from 22 h.p. to 13,6 h.p. The Mini Max engine has the same characteristics as the Junior Max, including of course the great reliability of the engine. The advantage of the Mini Max is to allow young drivers to move up to the Junior Max class without having to buy a new engine.

Rotax 125 Mircro Max
Age class : 8 – 11 y.o.
The Micro Max is included in the same evolutive concept as the Mini-Max, using a FR125 Max Junior engine with a special downgrade kit. This package puts out 6,8 hp. The Micro Max engine has the same characteristics as the Junior Max, including of course the great reliability of the engine. The Micro Max kit is built to fit on a Cadet/Rookie chassis (wheelbase of 780mm to 1050 mm) and is perfect for kids who are starting in karting.
