2018 Canadian Open: Information and Registration

The 2018 Canadian Open will give the opportunity to 5 drivers to race at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Brazil next November. This event being “Open”, foreign driver can participate and win the invitation for the Grand Finals.

The event takes place in the enchanting environment of Mont-Tremblant, Québec, on the Jim Russell Karting Academy racetrack from Friday August 31st to Sunday September 2nd.

On the program, we have the following Rotax classes:

  • Micro/Mini MAX
  • MAX Junior
  • MAX Senior
  • DD2
  • DD2 Masters

For the Micro/Mini, Junior MAX and Senior MAX classes, only the engine provided by SRA Karting International (included in the registration fees) may be used.

The event will also receive the participation to the Briggs & Stratton and Shiter classes, designated as Support classes. With a condensed schedule and a lower entry fee, these classes will award special prizes on top of the usual trophes for the top 3 of the final race. These special prizes will be announced soon. Support classes are:

  • Briggs & Stratton Junior
  • Briggs & Stratton Senior
  • Briggs & Stratton Masters
  • Open Shifter
  • Open Shifter Masters

All necessary information (track description, dates, eligibility, entry fees, what is included in these fees, applicable regulation, etc) to participate at the event is available in the Event Supplementary regulation. In order to lighten the documentation for the competitors, we have created a specific document for the Rotax classes and one for the support classes.

Thursday August 30th is an optional practice day for all competitors. It will not be possible to practice Monday to Wednesday prior the event, the track being reserved for rental and driving school activities.

To assure a good management of the schedule, classes are capped at 30 entries per class.

Registration process:

  1. By clicking on the Registration link, you will be directed to the EVANET race management system where you will fill the online registration form and fill the event database. Follow steps. Note the system only manage english letters (no accents, no special caracters).
  2. Once registration completed on EVANET, you will be redirected on the payment page where you can pay by signing in with your Paypal account or proceed directly with your credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) or with a Visa debit card.
  3. Your registration to the event will be considered as “complete” when you will have gone through the online registration form and payment is received.
